Microphone — the only permission requested

What actually happens to the audio the microphone picks up:

• Audio is analysed for frequency in your device's memory and discarded immediately.
• Nothing is ever written to a file, temporary or otherwise.
• Nothing ever leaves your device — the app has no networking capability at all.
• No speech recognition is performed. The app only measures frequency; it has no notion of what the sound is.
• The microphone is active only while the tuner screen is open. Leaving that screen stops it immediately.

If you decline microphone access, the app still works — you simply use the chord library, which needs no microphone. You can revoke the permission at any time in your device's Settings › Apps › MOJO Guitar Tuner › Permissions.

What the app stores on your device

The app stores only your own preferences: language, light/dark theme, A4 reference pitch, haptic feedback on/off, left-handed mode, note naming style, and any chords you mark as favourites.

All of this is kept on your device only. It is never sent anywhere, and it is deleted as soon as you uninstall the app.

Internet access

The app does not connect to the internet at all. Both the tuner and the full library of 1,380 chords work entirely offline — all chord data ships inside the app itself.

Permissions

The app requests a single permission: microphone (RECORD_AUDIO), as described above.
No location, camera, contacts, storage, or internet access is requested.

Third-party services

The app uses no third-party services. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising networks.

Children

This app is not directed specifically at children. Because it collects no data at all, no information is gathered from users of any age, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

Any future changes will be published on this page with an updated date.
